Hotwire Hotel: 3* Buffalo (Downtown) Adams Mark

Note: These amenities seem to differ a little from what Betterbidding has, there are a lot more listed here. I expected to get Adams Mark because it is the only 3* with a pool.

I know this isn't a great price by comparison to other deals people have been having. I booked this today, did I book at the wrong time? I tried Priceline as well, and bid up to $100 (I expected to get a hotel at $65 on Priceline, but tried bidding up to $100 when I realized nothing was working). This was the only option on Hotwire in Downtown Buffalo on my dates.

My guess is that there is some sort of event on Buffalo that weekend and hotels are almost fully booked. I went to several downtown Buffalo websites and found that they all said they had no availability on July 13 (tried Adams Mark, Hyatt, and several others). When I realized I didn't have many options, I just went with this booking on Hotwire as it seemed to be my only choice. I'm still pretty happy I was able to get a decent hotel with an indoor pool for a not-terrible price.

I was wondering if anyone here could give me some more insight on why I couldn't get a better deal. Should I be booking earlier, like a month before? Other weekends weren't fully booked, such as July 6, so I'm guessing its just a coincidence that this week was busy.

Rates can vary quite substantially from day-to-day; unfortunately if there's something going on for your date/s, rates can jump higher/substantially higher. What one user may get does not reflect what another user can expect for different and busier date/s.

I think there may have been more amenities then what you posted which would not have been seen unless you clicked the 'See all amenities' link during the checkout process. It would be greatly appreciated if you could double check to see if there were additional amenities associated with this listing.
