hopeland Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 Looking for some help in identifying one - or possibly more - listing in Berlin.Getting different search results depending on the browser and number of adults selected. Can't tell if this is all the same hotel or different listings.Basics:Berlin, Germany8/4/13-8/7/135* Charlottenburg - KurfurstendammListing C2: Using Chrome browser, 2 adultsPrice: $82Amenity List:Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Ratings/Reviews: 85% Recommend, 5.0 Overall Satisfaction, Only 1 review, not very revealingListing F2: Using Firefox, 2 adultsPrice: $82Amenity List: Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services Ratings/Reviews: 85% Recommended, 5.0 Overall Satisfaction, currently Hotwire has a new interface for Firefox which doesn't list reviewsListing C3: Chrome, 3 adultsAmenity List: Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Ratings/Reviews: 75% Recommended, 4.0 Overall Satisfaction, visible review mentions "old style German" and "old fashioned hotel". Another review mentions "rooms a bit small"Listing F3: Firefox, 3 adultsPrice: $134Amenity List: Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities Golf Nearby Tennis NearbyRatings/Reviews: 75% Recommended, 4.0 Overall Satisfaction, no reviews visible but description reads: "Classic 5 Star Luxury Hotel on Kurfuerstendamm"So, given all of this info, are all of these listings for the same hotel or not?The easier one to guess is the C3 hotel. Due to the reviews, my first guess would be Louisa's Place, followed by the Steigenberger. Louisa's Place seems to fit the old fashioned description, but I think the rooms are somewhat large, so maybe Steigenberger is a better guess. It seems clear that C2/F2 are the same hotel, but is it the same hotel as C3/F3?
thereuare Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 I'm guessing the searches for 2adults are the same hotel and the searches for 3adults are the same hotel... and you're probably not seeing the full amenity set for the FireFox searches.HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process.Try the following:use this link to search HOTWIREfrom the search results page click the offer for this hotelon the next page click BOOK NOW (no worries about purchasing by accident since no credit card information is entered up to this point)on the left side of the page click the 'See all amenities' linkIf you follow the above, do you now see the same set of amenities for each of the searches with 2 adults and each of the searches with 3 adults? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. hopeland Posted June 27, 2013 Author Report Posted June 27, 2013 Thank you. Yes, the full amenity list shows up on the Book Now page. That's kind of annoying. Some good things about the new interface, but the lack of reviews and not displaying the full amenity list is a big thumbs down.Anyway, today the same hotel is showing up for all searches. The 85% recommended one.

hopeland Posted June 27, 2013 Author Report Posted June 27, 2013 Could be right. I hadn't thought of that one. FYI, the Palace Berlin shows up as a 1* on MAPS and HOTELS.com.For the other hotel (the old fashioned 75% one) I think I'm actually leaning towards that being the Kempinski Hotel Bristol. Will have to decide if I want to spring for the Palace or take the Pullman Schweizerhof deal. Or keep my backup plans. Thanks for the help.
thereuare Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 Actually, MAPS and HOTELS.com has the Hotel Palace Berlin as zero stars indicating that PRICELINE doesn't rate this property (at least not on the retail side)Let us know whatever you decide to do or if we can be of further help. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
