In general, should I be concerend that a Hotwire listing gives no recommendation (e.g., a thumbs up symbol with "90% recommended")? And, is there a minimum % recommendation I should require before purchasing? Just curious about how these "thumbs up recommendations" work. THX!

It's really just a general question since I look at Hotwire on occasion, as one of several tools to assess the market for hotels and car rentals. Yes, I have an upcoming trip to LA, but others as well. It just strikes me odd that some Hotwire hotel listings include the percentage of those users recommending a hotel and others give no indication, and I wondered whether that should mean something to me.

Still hoping for some guidance on what it means when there's no "thumbs up/% recommended" for a Hotwire hotel listing!

Should I be reluctant to book without some indication? Maybe it means the hotel is new to the Hotwire program? Or, maybe it means that the reviews were so poor that Hotwire doesn't want to comment. Appreciate any help here!
