gwp Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Hi all,I was only willing to bid for 4.5* in Chicago for 2 reasons. First, I was 100% certain that Hotel 71 was showing up on HW for $109, and bidding for 4* hotels on PL opens up too many uncertainties. So I was curious if I could beat HW's price for a better hotel ;) Because the Sofitel was showing up on Kayak for $152 I thought I had a chance but I couldn't do it.Started at $65 (yeah right!). I used the rebid zones and tried $72, $80, $85, $90, $95, $100, and $105. No takers.... So I booked the Hotel 71 (recently Wyndham Grand I guess) instead for the $109. Still very happy with that price for what may be the absolute best location in Chicago. I used you PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links and thanks to this forum for helpful research!Gwp
