TravelFanatic13 Posted June 24, 2013 Report Posted June 24, 2013 Hello all,Cancun South Hotel Zone 4* All InclusiveDesired Travel Date February 8th - February 15th 2014$203/nightThe amenities that show for this particular resort include:ResortFree ParkingFree BreakfastFree InternetBeachfront PropertyFood and Beverages IncludedA la Carte Dining OptionsEvening EntertainmentDaily ActivitiesChildren Activities ProgramFitness CenterPoolsRestaurantsBusiness CenterLaundry FacilitiesHigh Speed Internet AccessTennis NearbySpa ServicesAll InclusiveThe reason I don't think that this could be the GR Solaris is because it states that this resort is recommended by 100% of Hotwire Customer Reviews.Anyone know what this all inclusive resort may be?Thanks!
thereuare Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Although a 100% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests, there are likely only a handful of reviews (if that) for this property which appears to be a new hotel in the HOTWIRE system. With most all-inclusive properties showing similar amenities, I don't have anything insight into this one, but given your stay is still a few months away i'd be patient with this one as it may get reported to the board before long or we can take another look at it in the future. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. TravelFanatic13 Posted August 2, 2013 Author Report Posted August 2, 2013 Identify 5* North Hotel Zone AI Cancun My wife an I are still looking to book a trip February 4-11 and saw that Hotwire is offering a 5* all inclusive hotel in the Cancun North hotel zone. Here is the description:$260/nightFree ParkingFree BreakfastFree InternetResortBeachfront PropertyFood and Beverages Uncluded Premium Brand Beverages IncludedAlacarte Dining OptionsEvening Entertainment IncludedThere is nothing that says this is an adults only resort so wouldn't that rule out Live Aqua, Le Blanc or The Royal? Do you have any insight at all to what this hotel MAY be? Thank you so much for the help!
yellowdog Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Please keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same stay. I think there may be more amenities associated with this property. If you go back to HOTWIRE and click this offer to get to the details page, then on the details page click the 'See all' link under the amenities, do you see more than what you've posted above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.

TravelFanatic13 Posted August 5, 2013 Author Report Posted August 5, 2013 Here are all of the amenities for the 5 star all inclusive Cancun north hotel zone:Resort Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Beachfront Property Food and Beverages Included Premium Brand Beverages Included A la Carte Dining Options Evening Entertainment Included Daily Activities Included Fitness Center Pool(sRestaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services All-Inclusive There is still nothing that mentions that this 5 star resort in the North hotel zone is adults exclusive... so what could this property be? Any ideas at all? Live Aqua, Le Blanc and The Royal are all adults exclusive resorts, correct? Any thoughts?
thereuare Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 My guess would be an upgrade of the Aqua Live Cancun. If you go back to HOTWIRE and click on this offer, then at the bottom of the page is a "Know Before You Go" box, in which it indicates:Adult-Exclusive: This property only allows adults 18 years of age or older. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. TravelFanatic13 Posted August 6, 2013 Author Report Posted August 6, 2013 Thank you for all of your help. I think at this point in time we would like to possibly book the 4* South Hotel Zone AI that we were originally interested in. The price for February 4-11 is $195/night. It says that the price non-discounted is $410/night. Here are the amenities:ResortFree ParkingFree Breakfast Free Internet Beachfront Property Food and Beverages IncludedA la Carte Dining Options Evening Entertainment Included Daily Activities IncludedChildren's Activity Program Fitness CenterPool(s) Restaurant(s)Business CenterLaundry Facilities (self-service)High-Speed Internet AccessTennisSpa ServicesAll-Inclusive It also states that the primary guest must be 21 years of age. There is no percentage of recommendation from previous Hotwire hotel guests.I just want some possible options of what this resort could be. I don't think that GR Solaris is priced at $410/night for this time frame, so I don't know what this could be.
thereuare Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 This property has not yet been reported to the board.NOTE that the crossed out price is not the rate of the hotel offered, but an average rate of hotels in this zone of the same star rating, so you can't (and shouldn't) use this information to try to identify this property.Since this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. TravelFanatic13 Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 Do you have any thoughts for possible options?
thereuare Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 Given how most all-inclusive properties have the same or very similar amenities, i unfortunately don't have any insight into this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. TravelFanatic13 Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 Will this rate probably go up or down between now and February? Do you think that there will be better rates that may surface between now and then? We are considering booking this rate soon.
thereuare Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 Nobody can say (not even the hotel) if rates will go up or down between now and your trip... it all depends upon how expected new reservations/cancellations come in relative to actual new reservations/cancellations.Besides rate risk (the price going up/down) there is also the risk that this property no longer appears for your dates and is replaced by another hotel that you may not be as favorable on.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
