I'm not totally clear of what you're asking as i'm not sure if you're searching HOTWIRE for two rooms and asking if they can be connected OR if you're only searching for one room in which case you will only receive one room (which is why it's confusing to me when you post "... live in one room")

HOTWIRE guarantees sleeping accommodations for as many people as you include in your search. While selecting triple/quad occupancy for one room often means two beds in the room, it's could mean one bed plus a pullout sofabed or rollaway brought into the room. While you can make whatever requests you'd like, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor them (or there could be an additional charge involved)... especially if the room type you're requesting is considered an upgrade from standard, which a room with two beds may be at some properties.
