mastermind85 Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 Hello all,I am need of some help finding a hotel in the TS, Chelsea, or Empire State Building area for 7/11/13. I am looking for under 170 for 3.5*+ or below 150ish for a 3*. I would like something relatively close to Penn Station and prefer marriott. Thanks!
thereuare Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 If you haven't yet please start by reading your messages. Is there a reason you're not including the MSG zone in your bidding, as this will give you the closest proximity to Penn Station. Please confirm if we should/shouldn't include this zone in a bidding strategy and we'll advise accordingly. Also, did you want to first try for a 3.5* up to your limit, then if rejected try for a 3* property... or is the goal the least expensive 3* or better for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. mastermind85 Posted June 27, 2013 Author Report Posted June 27, 2013 MSG can be included, I am just looking to not be too far west. Also 3.5 up to my limit and then move down to the 3*. Thanks!
thereuare Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 You do have a chance at a 4* hotel in one of these zones with your $170 maximum bid... did you want to try for this first or prefer a less expensive 3.5* hotel? Please confirm and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. mastermind85 Posted June 27, 2013 Author Report Posted June 27, 2013 Less expensive 3.5* hotel would be better in that case if possible.
thereuare Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 I would start with the following:Select 3.5* TS and Chelsea...Bid $110, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* ESB and MSG...Bid $110, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* ESB and Chelsea...Bid $115, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* TS and MSG...Bid $115, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* MSG and Chelsea...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* ESB and TS...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* TS and Chelsea and ESB...Bid $125, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* TS and Chelsea and MSG...Bid $125, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* ESB and MSG and Chelsea...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* ESB and MSG and TS...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3.5* ESB and MSG and Chelsea and TS...Bid $135If the above is rejected, i'll point out that PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 4* hotel in the MTW zone for $141/nite (and a 'good' 8.0/10.0 user review rating). Using the current COUPON CODE: SUMMER for an extra 5% OFF, this brings your cost down to $135/nite and you may want to consider this as it would likely have a direct subway line into Penn Station (or an inexpensive $6-$7 cab ride if you didn't want to take the subway)... but let's start with the bidding above and we can then discuss your options to move forward.Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.PS- the SUMMER coupon code will work for your bidding as well :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
