Priceline Hotel: 4* hotel in St Catherines Niagara Falls July 12th weekend

I am trying to book a 4* in the St.Catherines area for July 12th weekend. I am willing to spend upto a $100 to book a room. I see that properties such as Marriott or Sheraton come into this category. What is the best way to bid for my criteria. I am more interested in getting a good hotel with Falls View.

When a bid is rejected the first time you say increase by a couple of dollars and add a re-bid zone. How do I re-bid a zone for a higher price? Where can I find the re-bid option?

I used the links to PRICELINE and HOTWIRE above and could not find a hotel in Niagara falls Zone-1. I tried bidding upto $105 for a 3 star and up.

My travel dates are the weekend of July 11th for 2 nights

Falls view - when available - is usually a paid upgrade. PRICELINE and HOTWIRE reservations are for standard rooms. One can request falls view if the hotel offers it, but the hotel can say no or charge more.

I too am looking for a falls view room from July 3- July 4. Two questions:

1) Whats the best way to tell if the hotel I am bidding for will get me a falls view?

2) How much should I bid to get a falls view?

If I don't get a falls view room, but a hotel that is a falls view- can I request the hotel for a free upgrade? Does anyone has any experience with getting falls view after winning the hotel bid
