Hilton London Tower Bridge?

The $179 Express Rate is still available...but I can't pull up the Hilton London Tower Bridge again on any type of search when searching the Standard Rates tab. I was able to before, since that's how I came about my best guess, but now it doesn't show up at all. I've done a Google Search and can find it on a hotwire vacations and it still shows availability.

Do you think this hurts the chances that this hotel is the Hilton London Tower Bridge? Does it still show up on a standard rate search for you?

Also, what do you think the chances are that I can bid toward a 4* Mayfair/Soho hotel for the same price range (175ish) on PRICELINE?

Express Deal booked through PRICELINE.

I aimed for the 5* (Sofitel) bidding upwards to $200 in increments using non-5* star zones (all of the rest) but nothing.

Decided to not bid for a 4* hotel because there are a few I wouldn't have been happy with.

This Express Deal was described as having an 8.0 guest rating or higher on PRICELINE and listed these amenities:

Indoor or Outdoor Pool

Restaurant

Business Center

Fitness Center

The vacation product from HOTWIRE is powered by Expedia so the fact that there is availability there has nothing to do with whether the hotel is showing on the 'opaque' side of HOTWIRE. A hotel can have available and offer rooms thru 'regular retail' booking channels but still not offer rooms at deep discounts to the opaque providers.

If you're flexible and willing to accept any 4* or better rated hotel in the zone why not give PRICELINE a try? However, given that the 4* hotel at $179/nite above is no longer available, using this figure to determine your $175 maximum bid is probably a flawed strategy. You can still use this as your maximum bid, and you have plenty of time to try again should your first round of bidding fail, but if the price had dropped you would have lowered your maximum bid amount... the opposite should be the case if the price goes up.

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.
