Hello from Finland!

This will be my first time trying out Priceline, i have now done some

research what i would be looking for but i would need a bit help on how

i would possibly get the best results for our trip.

I will be flying with my girlfriend to NY in Aug 22nd to 26th and we are

looking a way to get a decend hotel with decend money

I was thinking about 3-3,5* hotels for about max 500-550USD (incl. Taxes) this would be

the amount i would be comfortable to pay. Preferably lower, we mainly use the

Hotel for Sleeping anyways so we dont care about smaller rooms and such as

long it is in a good location.

I also have a problem deciding what area i would be wise to target?

Thank you so much for help already and keep up with the good work in here guys!! :D

Welcome to BetterBidding!

If room size doesn't matter i think all of the following zones will get you centrally located:

CPS, Chelsea, ESB, MSG, MTW, TS

As current rates suggest your budget (only ~$115/nite before fees/taxes) may be difficult. Since adding as many zones as are acceptable as possible will give more hotels a chance to accept your bid, you may also want to consider:

MTE- some of the 3.5* and under hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway. Many of the hotels are well located, but you take the risk of something up to 15 minute walk away to get to the train.

Downtown - not ideal location-wise, but certainly do-able for the right price, and at this time possibly this zone may be your best chance at a win within your budget
