christ988 Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 hi, im coming to vegas in oct 20th-23rd this year. Is it going to be busy with the hotel occupancy when im there? Im looking for 4* hotels at the strips. My budget is $50, $80 max. Can u please help me to figure out the bidding strategy? thanks in advance

christ988 Posted June 16, 2013 Author Report Posted June 16, 2013 Actually 4.5* would be great to if thats possible...
yellowdog Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 Are you willing to stay in both North and South Strip zones? With your budget at max $80 would my guess be that you're looking at a 4*, not higher. And South zone looks like your best bet with current rates. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.
christ988 Posted June 17, 2013 Author Report Posted June 17, 2013 Hi! yes i think both north and south strip zone are OK. Can you please help me with the bidding strategy on priceline ? thank u
thereuare Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 I do think you can be successful at about $50/nite so we will start with that as your maximum bid, although it may ultimately take more. However, note you can receive a 4* hotel anywhere in the zone, which includes hotels such as the Luxor which can be a little far on the Southern end of the strip. However, if budget is primary concern, it's certainly worth the amount you'd be bidding, imo. When bidding 4* in Las Vegas you have FOUR re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Strip North...Bid $30, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $33, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $35, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $38, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $40, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 4* Strip South...Bid $30, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $33, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $35, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $38, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $40, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 4* Strip South and Strip North...Bid $42, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $44, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $46, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $48, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $50Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
