Priceline Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (Strip North) Treasure Island

Hey,

I have just a short question about the Las Vegas Strip North Region in priceline.

I saw that this area is quiet big. (In my opinion it goes way to far behind the Strip)

I also checked out the priceline Hotel list and it looks like if you bit for a 4 Star and plus Hotel you wouldnt get any hotel that is behind the Encore? Is this true?

Because anything behind that is kind of far away from the action or did so much change in Vegas during the last 1 and a half years. That was my last stay there and I had the impression that behind the Encore the strip is kind of over.

I know there is still Circus Circus but that place is kind of dead.

The zone map rules.

If there is a 4* or higher hotel anywhere within the boundary of the map, you could receive it. The Hotel Lists only contain those hotels that have been reported thus far. It is always possible for there to be another one. Or maybe a former 3.5* gets upgraded. Or they build a new one.

You aren't safe making the assumption you won't get anything beyond the Encore.

Well, if you carefully research the situation, your odds of being right are probably better than those of the machines.

I don't personally know Las Vegas that well, but I am familiar with the Priceline rules.

Maybe somebody else will chime in here, but I can't answer you for sure.

I know of no 4* or higher hotel in this zone that goes further north then the encore, but with this noted (and the disclaimer that) you could receive any hotel in the zone that PRICELINE considers to be rated 4* or higher. I would consider the risk to be very low, but it's a risk that only you can decide if you're willing to accept or not.

I read a couple of times that the las vegas Hotel market is different than others.

Do you guys think I should book soon or wait and hope for a deal. Will be there from the 14th til 20th.

I am planning on staying on or pretty close to the strip walking distance from the 14th till the 19th and stay the night from the 19th to 20th on fremont street.

What is your expected budget per nite?

Do you have plans in the Downtown/Fremont St. area OR is there some other reason to stay there for the last nite of your stay?

Thanks.

What is your expected budget per nite?

Resortfees already included.

But I didnt book fast enugh and know its booked out for the price.

So that would be 66.66$ including the resort fee.

The maximum we would like to spend is 82 per night.

On the one side we get our rental car on the 19th and on the other side we also want to party there for a night. And the golden nugget hotel looks nice and is pretty cheap

The maximum we would like to spend is 82 per night.

Is that all-in including fees, taxes, and resort fees?

I would also look to stay Downtown on the Saturday nite of your arrival (when strip prices are at their most)... then stay Sunday-Friday on the strip (when rates are typically their lowest)

If booking as per above i think you get a room and taxes includes rated of ~$425 for the 6 nites... but resort fees would be additional and paid directly to the hotel.

Let us know your thoughts and we'll take it from there.

Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.

Ok i will check out the downtown option too.

I should have booked the quad when I had the change, but when I found it, I did not know that the deal was that good.

Do you think I should book something now or wait and hope for an other good deal?

Yeah the 82 would be with all fees and taxes. The deal at the quad which I missed was also with all fees and taxes

Ok, I did some more digging

What do you guys think about that 14-15th the LVH for 46 € = 60.86$ + $18Resort fee = 78.86$ (Is the Resort fee charge per day or per night?)

15th till 19th the quad 162€ = 214$ + 4*10$ Resort fee= 254$

19th till 20th golden nugget = 42,46€ = 56.18$

total = 389$ = 294.01€

All the bookings are without priceline or hotwire, bc it looks like it will be cheaper that way.

I know the LVH is kind of, of strip do you know how good the bus connection is from there. I know there is the one railway, but we have to get a buss ticket to get there from the airport anyways.

Posted

From the airport you would need to take a taxi or shuttle bus to the hotel... there is currently no city run public bus service (the CAT system) from the airport to the strip.

If you're looking to piecemeal this together as cheap as possible then you've done so, but it's "cheaper than PRICELINE / HOTWIRE" because you're not comparing apples-to-apples... you're comparing 4* hotels on the strip to the hotels above which are lower rated hotels (other than the Golden Nugget) which are all off-strip.

Also, if you don't get a rental car until the last nite, you will have to factor in taxi cabs from one hotel to the next which will add to your cost of changing hotels mid-trip (as far as i know the hotel/airport shuttle companies don't offer hotel-to-hotel service, only service to/from airport) and i don't believe the monorail or local bus (CAT) officially allows luggage (not sure how strictly this is enforced, but the city buses get VERY CROWDED and i could see a driver not allowing a passenger with luggage onboard)

If you do stick with the offers above please use the board's links for:

The Quad

LVH

Golden Nugget

Thanks.

I was just wondering if the Resort Fee is Mandatory at Treasure Island when booking via Priceline, because I found the hotel from the 15th till 19th as a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal.

But it does not list the resort fee if I press choose. At other Hotels and offers the resort fee always gets listed under mandatory fees.

Even if another user has been able to have it be optional, at the current time i would expect this to be on a case-by-case basis.

You can try, but I wouldn't expect to have the fee waived or have it be optional.

Ok I just wrote priceline an email.

Because it looks like you can only call the hotline if you already booked the hotel.

I will share the responds from them with you.

edit: I just called TI and they say its always mandatory also when booking via Price line.

So lets just wait what priceline has to say ;)

Ok looks like that I cant edit my post anymore because its to old already. So sorry for the double post.

Thank you for the kind feedback, and we hope to see you return soon.

For the benefit of others reading this review, please note the resort fee is only optional for the "name your price" reservations on Priceline in which the hotel name is not revealed until after the room rate willing to pay is entered. Otherwise, the resort fee is required for standard reservations confirmed on Priceline in which the hotel is displayed prior to confirmation.

The resort fee is also optional for the hotel TV Ad Special offer, and qualified TI Players Club casino members.

here is the source tripadvisor

I can also confirm that the resort fee gets displayed from Priceline if you book the TI exectly via ListView

Good news everyone!

Offical Responds from them:

Treasure Island Hotel & Casino The resort fee is optional when TI is assigned to those booking through "opaque" channels like the "name your own price" tools on Priceline and Hotwire. Otherwise, the resort fees are required when booking a "standard" reservation, in which you know the name of the hotel when booking the reservation.

I now booked the LVH from the 14th to 15th for 46EUR. Everything else was to expensive and or to far of the strip. At least here I have some options to get there pretty quick.

I also booked the TI via PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for 66$ per night. From the 15th till 19th (I choose the Express, bc I didn't want to risk to get an other 4* hotel where the resort fee is mandatory)

From the 19th to 20th I booked the golden nugget also via PRICELINE for 48.30$ (But not as express deal or bidding, I have free cancellation for this offer so i might try getting a better deal via bidding later, so far my bids got rejected)

Btw you can also read the response from TI on their official FB website
