farangene Posted September 21, 2005 Report Share Posted September 21, 2005 I bid Newark-Meadowlands (Jersey City) first at 3* $95 as I wanted the Hyatt in JC but was rejected. My second bid added Newark Meadowlands (Newark Airport -EWR) and I lowered the bid to $85. I got the Marriott which will be great for my purposes. Total cost was $203.64 for the two nights. By way of comparison, Expedia was offering Marriott rooms at $249 per night.I was going to add Elizabeth next and then Secaucus at 3 star level before I went to lower stars but I didn't have to do that.Thanks for all the info on your site. You may have been able to get a 3* property for less, but i'd guess then you would have won a different hotel and it may not have been as convenient for your needs.If you need any help regarding the area (commuting, restaurant, etc) let me know.Thanks for sharing and have a great stay.
