AaronJB Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 This could be a number of different hotels - the Sheraton, Helmsley Park Lane, Warwick, Royalton and Jewel would be possibilities, although I'd say the Sheraton and Warwick would be more likely out of the bunch.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
jw2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Author Report Posted June 8, 2013 Can you please let me know the full name of Sheraton Hotel? I am not sure which Sheraton is in Midtown East area. Thanks!!
thereuare Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 I am not sure which Sheraton is in Midtown East area.I believe the hotels immediately above were for your Midtown WEST property... making the Sheraton referenced the Sheraton New York. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. jw2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Author Report Posted June 8, 2013 I decided to use my SPG hotel points for one night and booked 2 nights 6/29 - 7/1 at $185/night from HOTWIRE. It is Warwick New York Hotel. Thanks so much for your help.

jw2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Author Report Posted June 8, 2013 Here is the summary of my New York City stay.Midtown Central area Hotel: Warwick New York, 6/29/13-7/1/13, $185/night, 2 adults and 2 kids.Amenities:Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower When I do research on this hotel, some bedbugs report pops up. I know there are lots bedbugs in New York City Hotels but any suggestion on bedbugs particular in this hotel, Warwick? Again, thanks a lot for all your help!
thereuare Posted June 9, 2013 Report Posted June 9, 2013 If you're concerned check the bed upon you're arrival, but while bed bug and other issues can happen at any hotel, i tend to dismiss most reports of bed bugs as it could very easily be some other cause like mosquito bites (or just another customer looking for a free breakfast or other compensation). At a high-end hotel with a good reputation such as the Warwick, i'm sure any issues (insect or otherwise) are addressed appropriately and quickly corrected. jw2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Author Report Posted June 9, 2013 Thank for your reply! Really appreciated. One more question, we have a car and parking inside the hotel in NYC is very expensive. Any suggestion about parking outside the hotel but nearby Warwick?
thereuare Posted June 9, 2013 Report Posted June 9, 2013 Parking in the immediate area around the hotel will be expensive... drop your bags off at the hotel and then drive east of Third Ave or West of Tenth Ave and you'll likely be able to find cheaper parking. Also, depending upon the age of your kids they might enjoy Dylan's Candy Bar (60th St and Third Ave)... have breakfast beforehand at Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St)... and in this same area take the tram to Roosevelt Island in order to get a nice view of the NYC Skyline (you can just roundtrip it if you don't want to get off at Roosevelt Island).
