Shafinkalyan Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Hi I am new to bidding and was wondering if it might be too early to bid for our trip in August. Looking to spend around 100-120 per night and stay near golden gate park and 3-4 star hotel if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
AaronJB Posted June 4, 2013 Report Posted June 4, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)It's not too early to start making initial bids for August. Please confirm which zone/s would be acceptable and we'll advise accordingly.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Shafinkalyan Posted June 4, 2013 Author Report Posted June 4, 2013 I would like to stay in Richmond, but i am open to Embaracadero, Fishermans wharf, Civic center north, Lombard street USE, USW and richmond. Thanks for your quick reply!
thereuare Posted June 4, 2013 Report Posted June 4, 2013 ...and 3-4 star hotel if possible.I would like to stay in Richmond, but i am open to Embaracadero, Fishermans wharf, Civic center north, Lombard street USE, USW and richmond.Currently the highest star rating offered by PRICELINE in Richmond is 2 stars... did you want to lower your star rating in order to stay in this zone or prefer to try for a higher star rating in the other zones?I haven't yet looked at current rates for your dates so i don't know what is reasonable, but if you're looking for a 3-4 star hotel in the 'other' zones are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* vs. a 3* OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better in any of the listed areas?Let us know the info above and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Shafinkalyan Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Posted July 9, 2013 I am willing to lower the star rating. Ultimately would like to keep the prices around 150-180 a night if possible. These are the areas we are interested in staying.Richmond, Marina, Financial district, Fishermans, Soma, USE, USW. Is this possible?

thereuare Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I am willing to lower the star rating. Ultimately would like to keep the prices around 150-180 a night if possible.I don't think we're on the same page...Previously you said your preference was to stay in Richmond, but the highest star rated hotel in this zone is 2*, so we were asking if you wanted to bid for a 2* hotel in Richmond OR bid for a higher rated hotel in one of your other acceptable zones? These are the areas we are interested in staying.Richmond, Marina, Financial district, Fishermans, Soma, USE, USW.What is the minimum star level you're willing to accept? Are you looking for the highest rated hotel that your budget will allow OR are you looking for the least expensive hotel at the minimum star rating you have designated? Please confirm the above and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
