I am looking for a hotel this Sat. Night in Hampton,VA. Any suggestions on a strategy To get a hotel? I would like to find something near the historic district. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find much information. Thank you for your help!

Sure thing about the links. I would like to stay as close to the historic district as possible. Stay June 8, leaving June 9. Around 75 is my budget, maybe a little more for a higher star level. However, it looks like mostly 2-2.5 star range hotels nearby.

On Hotwire, there is 3 star listed in the Hampton area for 59, originally 114. Could this be the Hollywood Inn Express. That might be OK.

Thank you Yellow Dog! Yes there were a few more amenities. They include high speed Internet access, accessible for blind, deaf. Accessible travel pathways.

Can anyone suggest a priceline strategy for this zone and a similar hotel level? Would it be possible to get it for less than the 59?

The Holiday Inn Hotel And Suites Newport News is 3* rated on HOTWIRE but 2.5* rated on PRICELINE... which star rating is it that you'd like to bid for?

I ended up using HOTWIRE. The hotel was in fact the Holiday Inn express near the Hampton Coliseum. The price ended up being 60 per night for 6/7. & 6/8. Thank you very much for all of your input.
