I am looking to get a hotel in DC from April 17-April 19 2014. I want to bid on a 4 star hotel in the Dupont area. I looked at the hotel list of 4 star hotels and they all look great. Would you know what would be the hotel I would have the highest probability of getting if I bid?

Thanks!

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

There is no way to know what hotel may (or may more likely) appear - a hotel could appear frequently and then suddenly not appear at all for a while, etc.) In terms of HOTWIRE, if there is a listing of interest, please provide the date/s of travel, price per night (in USD$, before taxes/fees), zone, star rating and full list of amenities.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

I have no idea how bidding so far in advance would affect things, but Priceline wins for a 4-star hotel in Dupont Circle area are often Marriott Wardman Park or the Renaissance Mayflower. Less often but definitely possible include Washington Hilton, Omni Shoreham, Kimpton Palomar and The Dupont Circle Hotel.

Edit: oops, you were specifically inquiring about Hotwire. Of course that isn't strictly "bidding," and you should be able to determine the exact hotel with the proper sleuthing. It's worth noting that the Renaissance Mayflower is in the White House zone on Hotwire, not the Dupont Circle zone.
