Hotwire Hotel: What are the odds of a price drop for Las Vegas North Strip?

I was browsing last week for a 5* hotel in north strip of Las Vegas (most probably it was Trump since it had no casino and included a kitchenette). It was $85 last week when I wasn't sure if I was going to go yet, and now this week that I am sure I am going, the prices has gone up to $133 a night... which is pretty close to what the rate is if I get the room directly through Trump.

So my question is, I am going from 6/7 to 6/9 and with a little over a week to go, what are the odds that the prices will get lower? I know prices fluctuate, but how do they generally react closer to the day of?

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

This is discussed in detail in the FAQ. Rates do not always drop closer to your stay - they can very well ramp higher or stay high. With only a week to go before your stay, hotels likely already have a good idea as to traffic and I wouldn't count on rates to drop (not to say they can't, I just wouldn't count on it) in the few days remaining.

Please keep us updated on what you decide or whether you decide to try via PRICELINE bidding or Express Deals instead.
