Need to stay in Markham for a night 22-23 June. Bid $59 for a 3 stars and got Markham Delta. Found out it has smoking floor. Called them to see if I can confirm a non-smoking room. Told me all non-smoking are booked and "you get what you paid for from priceline" the lady said... anyway, she told I could call again on June 21 to see if there are any non smoking room available. I am going to call again tomorrow and try my luck with another person who answer the phone.

By the way, last time I got a room from either a 2 or 2.5 stars hotel in Markham from hotwire. It was comfort Inn and they gave me a smoking room, the smell was horrible, evethough I am a smoker, I could not bear it myself.

I don't smoke in my house, let alone in the hotel room with my family. What is the best way to get a non-smoking room?

Sorry to hear that the result has turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. I'd call again in a couple of days and see if you could speak to someone else. I looked on Expedia, but Expedia doesn't designate non-smoking/smoking.

If a non-smoking room is a 'must have' you can use HOTWIRE and choose a hotel that shows the Smoke Free amenity.
