Occupant Ilied Industries Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 I tried to get an Arlington/Grand Prairie hotel since that's where the activities I have planned this weekend are located. Started out at 3 stars, Arlington South, and $46. Raised to $56 because that was the ideal location. Then added the main Arlington area and Grand Prairie South. All failed on the Dallas side of the equation. So I figured I would start over in another area and tried Forest Hill first at $46 and 3 stars and that didn't work, so I added Fort Worth North, it took, and I was good to go. Based on other wins I see here, I probably could have started a little lower around $42-$43 and would have had the same property. No problem for me, for $60 including taxes and fees I have breakfast, free parking, free internet, and a pool. It's a little out of the way from where I wanted to be, but it'll do nicely.I've got to remember to use your link when doing this, but this is actually the first time since joining that I was the one to book the hotel, my wife usually does this but this is for our eighth wedding anniversary so I've been trying to do all the planning myself this time around. This year and next year are my testing times for our tenth anniversary and I'm getting more comfortable with the process. If it wasn't for Priceline's bidding system getting such great deals for my wife in months and years past I'd be doing this the old fashioned way, making phone calls to 800 numbers like I did so much before meeting her.
