To follow up on this thread, I decided to book direct for this stay (Aug 25-28, 2013) direct and did not use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE.

However I am looking to use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE to find a 4 star in Maui for Aug 20-25, 2013.
