amit
Hi,First of thank, thanks for having this website and forum. i've never used priceline before, but after going through many posts here, i feel much more comfortable. Registered in pricelinethrough savingsbarnWhat would be the best way to bid for 3 days at Fisherman's Wharffor 10/3 to 10/6 for a 3* hotel ?Fisherman's Wharf is a preference - if there are significant differences, theni don't mind somwhere else close by.i have a small kid (3 yrs). A regular room would be fine - is there anything i need to keep in mind while booking through priceline ? Thank you, Regards Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Things to keep in mind when using Priceline (the 'general' list):-only guaranteed for double occupancy (after that it is at the discretion of the hotel)-you could get a room with only one bed in the room-non-smoking (or smoking) is not guaranteed... usually requests are accomodated but a few instances of hotels saying "it's booked for smoking and i can't change it"-reservations are non-cancellable/non-changable/non-refundableDo you have a maximum bid in mind... we wouldnt' want to suggest a strategy that was more than you wanted to spend. If you let us know your maximum bid we'll suggest a bidding strategy for you to follow. amit
Hi !Yes, i should have included that in the original mail :) i would be comfortable upto 50 a day, but can go upto65 if i just have to.I am going on vacation, and Fisherman's Wharf just seems like a nice place (i've never been to the west coastyet). i don't know how the other places (USE, USW etc)compare with that. Thanks !Regardsamit Link to comment
thereuare
I'm doubtful you'll be successful up to $50... and not so sure $65 will work either.Do you want to try FW and then the USE/USW zones? I think you should research the USE/USW areas so that you know what your next plan will be should the FW fail and we can incorportate that into a given strategy.
