I am going to one-day conference at UCLA. I want to stay in at least a 4-star hotel in the Westwood/Brentwood area. I have tried Priceline and Hotwire and I can't get anything for less than $170. The reason I waited this long to book is that I had read to bid on Priceline/Hotwire close to your stay date. My stay date is June 4. One night only, 1 adult. What say you guys?

Welcome to Betterbidding.

Rates do not always go down closer to the date/s - if it's a busy set of date/s, there's the definite possibility that rates can go the other way or stay at elevated levels. What would be your desired max budget per night?

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

HI, thanks for the reply. The max I want to spend is $150. I was basically hoping to get a $200 room for $100. But what I am finding is that the $200 rooms are actually closer to $300.

By a $200 room what I mean is a Hyatt or a Hilton type room.

I would not like to spend more than $150 total, including taxes, fees and all the other junk they add to the bill.

Be in West Hollywood/Brentwood/Westwood west side areas.

One night, one adult.
