The price per night is listed as $109. Here is the complete amenity set below. I'm using the HOTWIRE link from this site for searches :) Any idea what property this might be? 95% Hotwire recommended, 4.5 Tripadvisor rating

The Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe All Inclusive would be my best guess for this one.

The Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe has a Tripadvisor rating of 4 not 4.5. Is the Tripadvisor information given on Hotwire searches not entirely reliable? I thought it was updated daily but I could be wrong. Planning to book within the next two months. If we use HOTWIRE or PRICELINE I will make sure to use the links here and post an update

The TA information shown by HOTWIRE is not updated in realtime, so it's possible that the current rating at the TA website and the rating shown by HOTWIRE are different, if the user review rating has recently changed.

That definitely makes a difference. But if it's not updated in realtime that's kind of misleading for the purchaser. If a hotel was chosen and paid for but you later realized the TA rating was inaccurate will Hotwire possibly offer a refund or at least move you to a property that matches the information which was presented to you at the time of purchase? Reviews are a significant factor for most when comparing hotels so I would hope that some kind of compromise can be reached if the information they provided is no longer correct.

I don't know of anyone that has challenged the user review rating in this manner, and it doesn't happen too often, but HOTWIRE's customer service is actually quite good (imo) and i would think that they would offer a refund if the current TA rating at time of purchase was lower then the one indicated by HOTWIRE. However, i don't think they would likely do anything if the TA rating was higher then HOTWIRE indicated since it would be an improvement from what was shown. So for example, if a hotel showed a TA rating of 4.5 but it was currently 4.0, i think you would have a pretty good case for a refund since the quality was lower then indicated by HOTWIRE... but if HOTWIRE showed a 4.0 TA rating and the actual rating was 4.5, i don't think you would have much of a case since the rating was better then indicated.
