ccfergs Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 Hi, I'm looking for a 4 star property from July 19 - 24. My budget is $100 per night. Any advice? Oh, I prefer the River North Area. Thanks

ccfergs Posted May 24, 2013 Author Report Posted May 24, 2013 No luck on Priceline. I cchecked Hotwire. Found a 3 star for $119, Magnificent Mile North - Water Tower area, 80% recommended by Hotwire Customers, Trip Advisor 3/5. Amenities include Free Internet Boutique Hotel Smoke Free Rooms Restaurant(s) High-Speed Internet Access Any idea what this might be?
AaronJB Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 I think if you bid for a 4* in the River North-NMA area, it will probably take between $115-130. There's also a 4* on PRICELINE Express for $120.The HOTWIRE listing is likely the Tremont;the 4* bidding or Express deal would seem more appealing.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
ccfergs Posted May 24, 2013 Author Report Posted May 24, 2013 What area is the 4* Priceline? I am not seeing it. Would it be better for me to wait closer to my date? Thanks for your input.
AaronJB Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 My apologies - the $120 listing is for the 21st-24th only and is in the NMA area. Still, I think you're likely looking at between $115-130 for a 4* in the River North-NMA area for these date/s via PRICELINE bidding. There's also a 4* in the Mag Mile-River North area on HOTWIRE for $138.The Tremont (the potential 3* on HOTWIRE) is well-located but basic and gets very mixed reviews. While both unfortunately go over your initial budget, if you were able to get a 4* for $10-15 more than the $119 3*, it may be an upgrade to consider.Let us know your thoughts and if you have any questions before bidding.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
ccfergs Posted May 29, 2013 Author Report Posted May 29, 2013 I went up to $128 on Priceline for a 4* River North or Millenium Park and got nothing. Any other suggestions?
thereuare Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel offered in the Mag Mile-River North zone for $138/nite. While this is $10 more than you have already bid, this property has a 4.5/5.0 TA rating and is 100% recommended by previous HOTWIRE guests, so i mention this since if your budget is flexible you can ensure a very highly rated property for just a little more than you have already bid.The property i'm seeing has:Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... best guess for this property would be the Hotel 71. Would this work for your needs this trip? (although note that this property is currently 3.5* rated on PRICELINE)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know your thoughts and/or how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 Are you seeing any HOTWIRE listings of interest? What are you looking for in particular in terms of hotel?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

AaronJB Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 What is your current budget - you're currently looking at around $140-160 for a 3.5* and more around the $170-190 area for a 4*.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
