Welcome to BetterBidding!

It's difficult to say with too high of a confidence with just one common amenity showing, but my best guess for this one would be the Tremont hotel.

Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.

The Tremont gets mixed reviews and is a somewhat older property, but it is in an awesome location right off Michigan Ave. If you are going to be out and about for much of your stay, the location is highly convenient. Unfortunately, other options are very pricey for these date/s and things don't seem to improve when splitting the stay.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Many thanks for your help.

I think I might go away and do some more research before asking for some help with a bid strategy instead, hoping I might be able to get something a little better that way.

Hi there,

I'm looking for a hotel from 15 June - 22 June please, with a maximum budget of $110 a night including taxes. I would like to try for a 4* hotel which may be optimistic with these prices, but I see no harm in trying and if it doesn't work I'll think about lowering my star rating.

We would like to stay in NMA, Millennium Park, Loop and Grant Park Area or Lincoln Park please.

Thank you for your help.

We can suggest a strategy for whatever you'd like, but at the moment i don't think you're in the right ballpark in terms of rates for these dates.

Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable 3* hotel in one of the areas you're bidding?

The hotel above is not 'known' to participate with PRICELINE (ie- it hasn't yet been reported to the board) but even if it does participate, the rate shown puts your $95 bid price at less than half of prevailing rates which gives you a low probability of success.

At current rates you're more likely looking at the $140-$160 before fees/taxes to be successful for a 3* hotel in one of these zones.

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.
