Priceline Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip North) The Venetian

I am new to this site and Priceline; but after reading extensively I thought I would share my experience. I really wanted to stay at the Venetian or Palazzo on my Vegas trip 5/22/13-5/25/13. I started my first bid at 89 bucks a night (only using Las Vegas Strip North) and was rejected. Waited 24 hours; rebid $99/night and that was rejected. I waited another 24 hours(today) and bid $105/night and that was rejected. Since today is 5/17/13 I was getting antsy and decided to go for the re-bid technique I've read about here. I added the Boulder Strip area (which does not have any 5* hotels) and increased my bid to $110/night. It was accepted for the Venetian, I couldn't be more pleased! I almost used the Priceline Express Deal that offered a 5*hotel in the Last Vegas Strip North Area for $120/night. I was worried I might get the Trump even though the Express deal said an amenity was a casino and I have heard the Trump doesn't have one which I think is extremely odd. I will want to use Priceline when I go back to Vegas in September. Anyone care to share their experience with the Express deal? It is something to note my final price with taxes and fees was $383.25 and the Express deal with their current 5% off deal would have been $399.50. So the Express deal was only 16 bucks more even though it seems I was saving at least 30 dollars. Kinda weird, but make sure you check any coupon alerts.
