Hello,

I am heading to Nashville with 10 buddies of mine for a bachelor party June 21-23 and we want to stay in the heart of the city where most everything worth doing is walking distance. Having never been there before, Not sure if I should try for "Opryland" or "Downtown - Metro area" or "Vanderbilt - West End". I see a slight discrepancy between the hotel areas listed for Nashville here and those listed on Priceline. On Priceline, "Downtown - Metro Area" and "Vanderbilt - West End" are two different things.

The Hotwire list lists the two locations together as one.

I'm just a wee touch confused is all.

We'll be heading out there for some drinks, historical site seeing, and hopefully some good music.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

I have updated the Nashvile Priceline Hotel List to reflect the new zone names and boundaries.

Unfortunately i can't be of much help in regards to which zone is best for your needs, but what i would do is look up some of the names of bars and music venues that you would like to attend and see where they are located, then make the determination which zones is better located. Keep in mind that with PRICELINE you can end up anywhere within the zone so you want to make sure that you're comfortable with either the north end of the Downtown zone or the western most end of the Vanderbilt zone... OR go with HOTWIRE which may cost you a little more but you'll be able to have a guess as to the hotel (and therefore a guess as to the location). As well, PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy which means you could receive rooms with only one bed... HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy, which may be a factor if you're looking to load everyone into just a few rooms.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.

My girlfriends and I head to Nashville for a girls weekend every year! We absolutely love it! I have stayed in both Downtown and the West End. I would recommend bidding on a 4* only because the hotels seem to be quiet dated. Downtown is within a few blocks walking distance of all the action. The West End is about .7 - 1 mi depending on where you are. The Loew's hotel has a free shuttle that you can take downtown. Also, we walked down and back most of the time with no problem. I recently won the Sheraton for our trip this year!

For a bachelor party I wouldn't recommend Opryland. It isn't going to be the bachelor scene that you are wanting.

Have fun! I hope this helps! =)

I'll be looking into this asap. I'm not the official booker, but I'm trying to convince them this is the way to go.

Please ask whoever will be doing the booking to stop by this site first and use the links at the top of the board to being their bidding/purchase.

Thanks.
