Is it possible to figure out what hotel I am bidding on?

Are there extra taxes and fees not in the price?

There is no way to target, or guess, the hotel you may be receiving when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose.

With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.

So the trade-off is that PRICELINE is usually a little cheaper, but HOTWIRE gives you the ability to guess as to what you might receive, as well as know the amenities associated with hotel (in case something like a Pool or Free Breakfast is important to you)

What is your expected budget (per nite before taxes/fees)? Are you willing to pay more for a 5* vs. a 4* OR is the goal the last expensive 4* or better for this trip?
