Priceline Hotel: Las Vegas for mem. day weekend

I am looking to go to Vegas for Memorial Day weekend with some girlfriends. We are looking for a clean place located safely on the strip. Haven't had any luck with my bids on Priceline so far. Any suggestions about star rating (for three girls in their 20s to be safe and comfortable), location and/or prices?

Please provide the exact date/s of travel as well as: desired budget per night, star rating and which zone/s would be acceptable. Also, what bids have you made so far?

Additionally, PRICELINE only guarantees one bed/double occupancy - in Vegas, you definitely may wind up with one bed or having to pay more to upgrade to a room with two beds. HOTWIRE would be a better choice as you can indicate the amount of people in the party.

I also won a Priceline bid for Memorial Weekend and it was hard to find a good rate on the strip. I bid between $90-$100 for several weeks and nothing. I finally bid $120 and ended up at the Tropicana which is on the South side of the strip. Prices get pretty high on holiday weekends. Good luck!
