Priceline Hotel: 4* Ghent Holiday Inn Gent Expo

Just won for 8/9/13-5/10/13 for $160, adding tax and fees it's around $180.

It's a long weekend in Europe and it's hard to find anything in Ghent so I was happy to get this.

BUT when I looked up the hotel two things made me cringe.

1. The rate at Holiday Inn's web site was cheaper ($155) especially if you add the tax and handling fee to the Priceline rate.

2. The hotel was actually NOT in Ghent but in St. Denijs-Westrem - a town 20 min away by tram. For a town the size of Ghent, it's like getting a hotel on the tip of Long Island when you are looking to stay in Manhattan.

I have been with Priceline since when they sold groceries and gas and this is one of the two bad deals I have gotten so overall I am still happy with them.

Just be aware!
