j-rad Posted May 6, 2013 Report Posted May 6, 2013 Dates are 5/17-5/19, which is Preakness weekend so it'll probably be tough/expensive I'm guessing. Looking for guidance on what to start/increase my bids at. I'd be fine with either a 3.5* or 4* in that zone. I see that Glen Burnie, Mount Vernon, Owings Mills, Stadiums and West zones are all under 3.5*, so looks like quite a few zones to add.Would like to start at 4* but would settle for 3.5*.

j-rad Posted May 6, 2013 Author Report Posted May 6, 2013 Closed out those two threads.I have a 3* in Inner Harbor booked for $235/night per room (2 rooms). So, ideally looking for something cheaper but 3.5* or 4*, but would like to bid up to that price if necessary.
thereuare Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 Ended up with a 3* in Downtown-Inner Harbor for $120/night. Trying to replicate for this year now. Please follow-up your previous priceline Baltimore hotel thread with the name of the hotel you received so we can edit the topic title accordingly and have that win appear in the Priceline Maps and Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. Then reply to this thread and we'll continue the discussion for your trip above. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. Trying to replicate for this year now.... but you're not bidding for a 3* hotel, only the 4* (and possibly 3.5* if 4* is rejected)What is your maximum bid at the 4* level? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. j-rad Posted May 8, 2013 Author Report Posted May 8, 2013 I decided to try with the second set of bids you posted, due to the high prices I'm seeing currently. No luck, so I guess it wasn't meant to be. Thanks for the help!
thereuare Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 You can try our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com to see if anything is offered nearby at a reasonable rate that would make it worthwhile to stay outside of the immediate Inner Harbor area... or in the Inner Harbor area but at a lower star rating.Do you plan on bidding again at a lower star level? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
