midwest_traveller Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 I am looking for two rooms in a 5* hotel in Las Vegas for two nights 6/4 - 6/6. I want to be as close to the Strip as possible.Using the above HOTWIRE link, I got the following options:The Strip - South area hotel, 5*, $88The Strip - North area hotel, 5*, $76The Strip - South area hotel, 5*, $81The Strip - North area hotel, 5*, $122For Priceline,I started with $60 for Las Vegas Strip North and then added 10 zones for rebid with $2 increment. My offer for $80 was rejected.Should I then take the Hotwire offer North Area Hotel which $76/night.Any suggestion regarding which one I should go for would be really appreciated (this is my first trip to Vegas).
yellowdog Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 Welcome "officially" to BetterBidding!Thanx for using boards HOTWIRE link :) If you want to stay in North zone as cheap as possible should you take the $76 offer on HOTWIRE if you're rejected $80 on PRICELINE and that's your max budget. Or you can try to undercut the HOTWIRE $81 price on PRICELINE for the South zone. Or is the North zone your preferred zone? But we need you to list the amenities HOTWIRE associates with the hotels you're looking at and we'll be happy to have a look at this. But please only post the amenity names (and not the full descriptions that go along with it) as it will make your post easier for us to read and helps minimize the chance that we miss an amenity when researching your hotel. Please also let us know how many adults/children you included in your HOTWIRE search.Let us know your thoughts and we'll go from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.PS. Please don't book the $76 hotel in North zone before we have a chance to ID this property for you.
