culdeus Posted May 7, 2013 Author Report Posted May 7, 2013 Can someone further isolate which hotels fall in which downtown zone? It seems hotwire has split the regions up somewhat. They have two different prices for 4* hotel in "downtown" region. It may be possible to get better ID now?
thereuare Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Is there a specific hotel that you're seeing offered on HOTWIRE that you're interested in?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. culdeus Posted May 8, 2013 Author Report Posted May 8, 2013 Sorry about that. It was a HOTWIRE question so I figured went in the other forum. Hotwire and Priceline express seem to be within 5-10 for the most part of each other for this stay. I did notice they (hotwire) had The Saint Hotel on their list of possibles. That is in a little higher class than most of the 4* priceline imo.
thereuare Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 I would ignore the hotels that they include as a 'possibility'... it could just as easily be some hotel not listed/suggested and this new feature has seemed to cause more confusion then clarify. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. culdeus Posted May 9, 2013 Author Report Posted May 9, 2013 I do wish there was some more clarity in the 3.5* Garden hotels. That could work. The tram/car or whatever is fine for my purposes. Somebody said the Indigo would be one possible hotel in that category, but doesn't seem to be any winning bids to confirm it.
culdeus Posted May 11, 2013 Author Report Posted May 11, 2013 on express deals garden 3.5 star is showing 112 right now with free internet. Indigo has free internet. What are the odds this is the same property.

culdeus Posted May 24, 2013 Author Report Posted May 24, 2013 Hi, just wanted to follow up. Was able to secure this room for the holiday weekend. It's a decent price, but not exactly the best location. I've stayed here before so I'm familar with the property at least. Thanks for help all.dates should be to 5/27 sorry.
AaronJB Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 Congrats on your success. :)Good deal for this Hyatt property! Hope you are looking forward to your stay.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
culdeus Posted May 31, 2013 Author Report Posted May 31, 2013 I would say this hotel is a pretty long walk to anywhere of consequence. Cabs are available, but it's really pushing the boundary for someone that wants to go on foot to and from the FQ in any sort of poor weather. The streetcar out front doesn't exactly push you into the FQ district and right now there is some major construction on the trolley lines which makes the trips in and around town via trolley a huge crapshoot.Hotel itself was plenty nice. Bathrooms were a bit small for the star level, but nothing too bad.
thereuare Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Sorry to hear this wasn't as convenient as you would have liked but glad the hotel was nice and you otherwise enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the follow-up.
