Marianne M Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 I had been trying for a 4* London hotel in zones 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, and 14 since last week. My max bid was $95 for the past six or seven days. On several of those days I received a counter offer saying that if I raised my bid to $108, then they could get me a room. I was really hoping to keep my bid under $100, so I ignored the offer. Finally, tonight my stubbornness/perseverance/ procrastination paid off.Has anyone stayed at this hotel? My sister told me it's a little out of the way from the major tourist areas. To be honest, I don't think I mind that, especially if it saves me hundreds of dollars in hotel fare. Thoughts on the neighborhood or the hotel itself, anyone?
AaronJB Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 Congrats on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Very nice win for this property! Hope the hotel will work well for your stay. Hopefully others can chime in with details regarding the area. This is certainly a substantial discount over regular rate - the cheapest rate on Expedia for these dates is a whopping $382.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
