Bulgarian Disco Posted May 7, 2013 Author Report Posted May 7, 2013 The Hotwire deal is no longer present. I found it using the links on the site yesterday. Based on what I see today, it looks like it was a good deal. Is there any way to ID the $349 4* Times Square Hotel you mention?I am looking for a 5* or 4.5* hotel for NYC for May 15-19. I am mainly interested in staying in Times Square. 2nd choices are Empire State or Midtown CentralIf it's a 5* hotel, I wouldn't mind paying up to $350. This is what I see people paid for The Chatwal in Times Square. If it's a 4/4.5* hotel, I would pay anywhere from $250-$290. This is the range of winning bids for 4/4.5*I have a backup at the Affinia Shelbourne that I can cancel the day before arrival.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
thereuare Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 Is there any way to ID the $349 4* Times Square Hotel you mention? It seems that this is more than you're willing to spend on a 4* hotel, correct?I am looking for a 5* or 4.5* hotel for NYC for May 15-19. This is the range of winning bids for 4/4.5*All PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE offers at the 4.5* and 5* levels are above your stated budget. Do you want to try bidding for a hotel? If so, what do you want to try for first (star rating and zones) and what is your maximum bid for that star rating and zone(s) combination? Also you mention that you're interested in a 4.5* or 5* hotel but then mention a maximum rate for a 4* hotel too... are 4* hotels an option at this point or not yet (waiting until closer to stay or until other options/bids fail)?I have a backup at the Affinia Shelbourne that I can cancel the day before arrival. What is your back-up rate at the Shelbourne? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
