potraitlife Posted May 13, 2013 Author Report Posted May 13, 2013 Thanks for that.I am thinking to do priceline bidding for the north strip and risk it since I might get either Wynn, Palazzo or Venetian. Can anyone tell me though what would be the best minimum bid and maximum bid that I should start with for the 9-11aug to maximize my chances of getting the Venetian?
yellowdog Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 potraitlifeYou can't maximize you chances of getting the Venetian when using PRICELINE. You have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) you select. Are you OK with this? And please confirm that you only want to bid for Strip North zone. Also please post your budget/night before tax/fee's and we'll help you with a bidding strategy. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
potraitlife Posted May 13, 2013 Author Report Posted May 13, 2013 Yes, I only want to stay at the Strip North and I am willing to accept any hotel. Although I would be willing to start my bid higher if that helps. My maximum would probably be $170 per night before taxes.
thereuare Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Currently HOTWIRE has a 5* hotel in the Strip zone with:Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Restaurant, Free Parking, Business Center, Casino, Fitness CenterThe price is $150/nite but using this PRICELINE EXPRESS link and code READYSET5 you can get an extra 5% off (so we'll call this $143/nite)If you want to try bidding, when bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip North...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $123, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $128, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $133, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $138, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
