NorthDakota Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Started out at $131 for 5 star Strip North, based off of previous posted win for Venetian. Added a zone and increased price to $136, added a zone and increased price to $141 which was accepted. I've stayed here before and it was a nice place, although sort of away from the action that far north. It appeared that the 5 star Strip North hotels were going for $156 on Hotwire and $148 on Priceline Express during this time period so still saved some money. Has anyone ever calculated the fee differences between hotwire, priceline name your own price, and priceline express? that would be good information to have when really trying to squeeze out the differences.
thereuare Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received a nice deal for this stay and are pleased with the results. I don't think it's necessary to track fees/taxes since both are shown before you have to commit to a purchase. Use our BiddingHelper.com to do one search, see the total from HOTWIRE by clicking thru on an offer you're considering and then enter a bid amount at PRICELINE and you'll see the total before you have enter any credit card information... this gives you a direct apples-to-apples comparison for your specific dates.Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
