marcschweig Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 After several weeks of trying I got the Sofitel (a great hotel) for $282++. Very happy as the best I could do online was $369 or more.

marcschweig Posted September 13, 2005 Author Report Posted September 13, 2005 I think I was rejected in MTE and Upper East Side at $280. MTW was added at the last bid. Does this help?
thereuare Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 It all helps :) What we're trying to figure out though is if perhaps less than $282 would have been successful... did you make any bids (on this day of acceptance) in the MTW zone before this $282? If so, if you recall the amount of that bid it would be helpful... if not, you've already helped by adding the info you did have. Thanks again. marcschweig Posted September 13, 2005 Author Report Posted September 13, 2005 No, because I really wanted to stay on the East side. I had not thought that the Sofitel was in MTW. For some reason I always think of Broadway as the dividing line! I always try to avoid the big hotels in Times Square...not that they are bad....I just prefer places like the New York Palace. However, the Sofitel is a very nice hotel and just far enough off of Times Square. It's also convenient to the Hippodrome where weekend parking is a bargain.
