I found an interesting hotel on hotwire.com, from Sept. 5th until Sept. 9th

4* Kensington/ Earls Court: 98$ per night.

Amenities:

- High Speed Internet Access

Could it be the Double tree Hilton?

3* Nottingham / Bayswater: 87$ p.n.

Amenities:

- Free Breakfast (!)

As it's going to be my first hotwire deal: Is this already a good deal? or should i wait some weeks more? I would prefer the first one in Kensington...

My best guess for the Bloomsbury property would be the Ambassadors Bloomsbury... i unfortunately don't have a guess for The City - Towerbriedge offer.

I've read some times, that a person, if finding a good offer on HOTWIRE, try to get this hotel by bidding on PRICELINE... Any chances on this? Advice?

The two services have different inventory and there is no way to bid for a specific hotel via PRICELINE. If you bid for a certain star rating and zone, you have to be willing to accept any hotel at that star rating in that zone.

Gets 4,5 rating on TripAdvisor, and 300+ reviews...

but no chance of identifying the hotel on the website...

Any idea? It doesn�'t seem to be listed, but maybe you have better searching skills on tripadvisor :)

what is it that you're looking for? We have now ID'd several hotels for you and this is a very time consuming process. We're happy to help you but please only ask for hotels that fits your criteria.

Are you willing to lock-in a non-refundable reservation for 4 months ahead of your stay? Hotels/prices offered now may not be the ones available once you're ready to commit.

I'm sorry to say that a 2.5* property with this amenitie combo has not yet been reported/ID'd to the board.

And I really don't have any guess for this property.

Regents Park, 4*, Rated 7.0

Amenities: Free Internet, Business, Pool, Fitness, Restaurant

Price: 98$/night

My guess would be the Marriott??

What criteria is it exactly that you're looking for from this stay? What didn't you like about the previous hotels above? You're now consider 2.5* and 4* hotels which are a very different experience, especially in Europe where ratings are a bit more 'generous' then their US counterparts.

hmm, well I never used hotwire or priceline before, so I'm just interested in using it soon and don't want to make a mistake.

by the way, i'm european, and because of a job opportunity I couldn't book it some weeks ago....

but, now I got a better understanding of the systems, reading your forum as well, and hope to get a hotel soon, because looking so much for one is exhausting too :)

Just thought that this one on PRICELINE looks a lot cheaper than many on HOTWIRE...
