hoybie Posted August 15, 2003 Report Posted August 15, 2003 Checked out bids on this board and TOBB for resorts in Maui Ka'anapali. Looked like the Sheraton and Westin were going for about $145. Bid $145 then $155 but no luck. Figured that those hotels had no inventory on priceline for my dates (some other poster had no luck on similar dates). People were getting the Hyatt at $180, so I bid $180 the following day (they surprisingly took my bid w/o me changing my search parameters) and got the Hyatt. Rack rate was $230/night for my dates. For comparison, Hotwire had a 5* resort (most likely the Hyatt based on amenities) at $211/night.
