tomant Posted April 26, 2013 Report Posted April 26, 2013 I'm looking for a 5* LV strip hotel for 3-5th July, and I'm getting a 90$ and a 100$/night offer. The 90$ is on Strip-North, and states:Spa Services Resort Free Parking Pet friendly Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Kitchenette I'm guessing this might be Trump Towers Hotel? The 100$ is on Strip-South, and states:Free Parking Fitness Center Business Center Spa Services Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower I'm a little in the dark on this one? My best guess would be Mandarin Oriental.Could this be right?
AaronJB Posted April 26, 2013 Report Posted April 26, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. The 5* North would likely be the Trump. For the South 5*, If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the red SHOW ME button next to this offer (the one with the price in it), then on the ensuing page click the 'See all' link under the amenities, do you see more than what you've posted above?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
tomant Posted April 26, 2013 Author Report Posted April 26, 2013 Thanks for your help! Not sure what you mean with a red SHOW ME button? I'm using the board's links, but I'm in Europe? Different website? The amenities posted are the ones coming up in a new popup window after I click "see all amenities" in the trip summary. Is the Trump considered a good choice? First time in LV...
yellowdog Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 tomantI can see the hotel on my search. This is an unreported amenity combo for the board. But I agree with you, it could be a new listing for the Mandarin Oriental. Is the Trump considered a good choice? First time in LV...We all got diffrent taste so it's hard to say. Trump is a very nice hotel (i have never been inside the rooms) but don't have any casino. The location is so and so, not on the "central" strip. But it depends on what you're looking for.Would you like a non typical themed Las Vegas hotel without casino? I can only speak for myself but I wouldn't tell my friends to stay there on the first visit.Let us know how we can help you further with your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
thereuare Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 I'm using the board's links, but I'm in Europe? Different website? Please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then close the browser and use the board's HOTWIRE link to try your search again... you should now be on the US site and will see the same format/images that we are referring to.Stay on the US site and when you're ready to purchase simply change the currency to whatever you'd like (while staying on the US site) and complete your purchase. tomant Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 I would prefer a more typical hotel :) I guess both Trump Tower and Mandarin are te be considered as non typical? I've set a budget of about 100$/night without resort fee. Within that price range there is only one strip located 4* hotel showing on HOTWIRE for 75$/night. I think it's Treasure Island. Would this be a better choice for the real Las Vegas atmosphere? yellowdog Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Do you also see Resort listed among the amenities?Yellowdog. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
tomant Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 Do you also see Resort listed among the amenities?Unfortunatly not.
thereuare Posted April 28, 2013 Report Posted April 28, 2013 I'm not seeing this property either, i'm likely seeing the same property that yellowdog is when searching HOTWIRE for your dates. Is there a percent recommended by HOTWIRE shown and/or or the breakdown of user reviews? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
tomant Posted April 28, 2013 Author Report Posted April 28, 2013 Is there a change you get different search results? I have changed the website to US and are seeing the red SHOW ME button now mentioned by another user. When I search for 3-5th July and filter on strip north/south and 4-5*, I get 5 results with following prices 90$ (see post 1), 100$ (see post 1), 126$, 75$, 114$. I'd like to keep it under 100$/night.The 75$ option gets 90% in HOTWIRE customer reviews and resort fee is about 25$.On the review breakdown: overal, condition, quality, room comfort and cleanliness all get 4.0 and location 4.5
thereuare Posted April 28, 2013 Report Posted April 28, 2013 HOTWIRE offers can change from one search to the next, as well, the 'percent recommended by HOTWIRE' can change from one search to the next, even for the same hotel, so this characteristic is not relevant in trying to identify hotels. Please list the full details as to what is currently being offered for your stay, and please use the links on the board to begin your HOTWIRE search.Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
