Priceline Hotel: 4* New Orleans (Downtown) Hyatt Regency New Orleans

Started bid off for the French Quarter at $80 and got denied. Added downtown and raised bid to $90 and got the Hyatt Regency across from the Super dome. Total cost was $217 and trip is for 5/10-5/12.

Was very interested in picking up the Hilton and almost bid this am..... I'm curious why you ended up with the Hyatt when 2 posters yesterday were given the Hilton.... This has given me some pause. I know their are never any guarantees when it comes to priceline.

One has to be willing to accept *any* property at the star rating selected in the zone/s selected. There is no way to increase the odds of a particular property and what inventory is available is going to vary from day-to-day.

Who knows? I was wanting to be closer to Canal St but its really not that much farther and the property is really nice. I probably could have kept my bid at $80 and just changed districts and got it but I'm impatient. Good luck!

Anyone that is okay with this hotel... I just won it on HOTWIRE for $70 per night. If you see Downtown for $70 per night still on HOTWIRE today or tomorrow... I think it's very likely it's the Hyatt Regency.

I too am not thrilled with the location... I hope it's a safe walk to the French Quarter. I don't mind walking 7/10 of a mile a couple times every day, I just don't want to get mugged.
