Hotwire Hotel: 3* New York City (Empire State Building) Hilton Garden Inn New York West 35th Street

We have been trying to book a room for some time via both priceline and hotwire for the period May 9th-14th without much success (4*-3.5* bids up to 190$ rejected on PL, no interesting deals on HW for the whole stay), so we decided to split up the stay in two pieces and the 100% recommended on a property in the ESB area caught our eye, so we decided to book it. It turned out to be the Hilton Garden Inn on 35th Street.

We are not saving much compared to a direct booking (approximately 10$) but are very happy about the win since we would never have considered this property without the 100% recommenden hint on Hotwire.

Now we will study what to do for the remaining three nights at the beginning of the trip. We will probably give priceline a try.
