AaronJB Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 Please provide an update for your other San Francisco Hotwire thread (post an update for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread.)Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
MORFCON Posted April 21, 2013 Author Report Posted April 21, 2013 Haven't decided anything on San Fransisco as yet.Wots it got to do with this thread?
thereuare Posted April 21, 2013 Report Posted April 21, 2013 Wots it got to do with this thread? It ensures that topics on the board are 'concluded' which helps keep the board more useful and better organized for everyone.Best guess for the 4* property would be the Westin Casuarina while for the 5* property my guess would be the Trump. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
MORFCON Posted April 21, 2013 Author Report Posted April 21, 2013 Fair comment as i know there are hell of a lot of thread's where people just don't come back and tell us the conclusion of they're bookings but I have nothing to report about San Fransiscoas Ive now left that to the wife to book but as soon as she books something i will update the thread.Anyway my priority is now Vegas for the 2nd leg of our trip, we have booked the MGM but it is workingout at £167 a night plus resort fees but it can be cancelled without penalty, oh but we do get 1 freebreakfast free, Yippee! We have now booked an overnight at the Grand Canyon Village and are going to hire a car for 2 days totravel there so looking to reduce our strip hotel costs to help pay for it.Would be happy with the likes of Paris, Treasure Island, Mirage etc.Got offered a South 4* tonight for $106 on Hotwire, $105 on Priceline and bid up to $87 on Pricelinefor them same but they came back with a counter offer of $104, thats $1 less than they're own Express pricewots the point? So may now we may abandon the North as don't fancy either of the Hotels you stated above but are there really any bad 4* South Strip if booked via Priceline or Hotwire?

The opaque and PRICELINE EXPRESS sides of their service each use a different universe of hotels, so the express offer may not be available on the bidding side of their service, but even if it is, we have seen instances where the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal was cheaper then bidding. So may now we may abandon the North as don't fancy either of the Hotels you stated above but are there really any bad 4* South Strip if booked via Priceline or Hotwire? With your side trip to Grand Canyon Village, what are the dates you know need for Vegas? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. MORFCON Posted April 22, 2013 Author Report Posted April 22, 2013 Still going to book 16th-24th June as we don't want to check out and back in againfor the sake of one night and we can leave most of our gear at the strip hotel.Thinking of booking the offer above where do you expert think it would be?
thereuare Posted April 22, 2013 Report Posted April 22, 2013 A new amenity set for NYNY would be my best guess for this one. However, since this property has never been seen with this amenity set before, nor has been reported to the board in quite some time, i'm not as confident as i'd ideally like to be (although i feel 'pretty good' with the guess). If you want a little more certainty, and since this is an extended stay, you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.letusnkow Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
