Priceline Hotel: What is going on in D.C week of 22nd April

Hello to all,

I have been trying for two weeks to ascertain a deal based off of some of the prices that I have seen on this the board throughout the months. However, it seems that for the next week 4/22 - 4/25 the demand seems to be quite high. I was hoping to be able to spend a little less than $100 a night, but it seems that it will be impossible to get 4star or 3 1/2 star hotel for that kind of price, and it seems to me that I may pay that much and a little more for a 3 star hotel. I was kind of wondering if anybody knows what is going on in the area this upcoming week, it will give me better idea on how realistically my chances and whether if I should wait another day and bid or accept the fact that I should higher and than make a judgement call.

I hear ya man... It has been brutal. Last week was almost as bad. I'm always booking for business travel using PL and HW. FYI, I just now ran through all 4* and above for Downtown White House (Zone 15) from Tuesday though Friday. Final bid was $271 not accepted. It's going to be tough this week. Good luck.

It would be appreciated if you started to share your wins with the board so that others could benefit from the information. Also, following-up your threads (ie - Priceline San Francisco and Priceline Miami) helps keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone.
