Started at $ 70 (incl $ 10 bonus) and was accepted at $ 90 (incl $ 10 bonus, so effectively paying $ 80 per night). Was not quite sure which hotel it would be, but would have been happy with all of them. This was is a little more South than hoped for, but on the other hand I am platinum with Marriott, so hopefully this will get me some additional benefits ! And very happy with this hotel, especially as regular prices are above $ 200 a night !

This property is by the South boundary of the zone, but it is a very historic property (it was closed for many years until Marriott came along and did a top-to-bottom renovation) and closer if you want to walk to the museum campus.

In terms of benefits, PRICELINE/HOTWIRE reservations are not eligible for rewards programs, but sometimes people have success - it may depend on the hotel or who you talk to. It's worth a try/worth asking.

Thanks ! I am frequent PRICELINE bidder, and I must say I had never before any problems getting the amenities I would be entitled to under a normal booking (from upgrades to free breakfasts). And that our quite some stays ! But I know I am formally not entitled to anything ...
