Welcome to BetterBidding.... we're glad you find the site informative and helpful.

Those prices indicate to me that Hotwire does not yet been given access to low priced inventory and i would recommend not paying those prices. You could get similar rates thru other sources and be able to choose the actual hotel you stay at.

If you're concerned about the hotels selling out, book a cancellable back up and keep an eye on Hotwire's offerings, waiting for a price drop.
