I am planning a Vegas trip for my mom's birthday from June 21st and checking out on the 23rd but I'm having a bit of trouble bidding for a good 4.5 star to 5 star hotel. I'm willing to pay up to 160 dollars a night. Please help!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

There are multiple conferences over these dates which total over 40K attendees... Vegas can easily handle this but it will effect hotel rates.

Using MAPS and HOTELS.com (search 1 mile from 'Las Vegas Strip, NV') and then filter by 5* and sort by price... what is the best price you're able to find at an acceptable hotel?

Thanks for replying!

I found Treasure Island for 241$ (4 star) and Trump International Hotel for 254$(5 star). Something within the lines of Treasure Island would be nice if the price was reasonable but I do understand that there are multiple events happening that weekend.

How many people are in the party? If more than 2, I'd suggest using HOTWIRE - are there are any HOTWIRE listing/s of interest showing for these date/s? If so, please provide the complete details (star rating, zone, price per night before taxes/fees, date/s, full list of amenities) and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID the listing.

PRICELINE only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy; with HOTWIRE, you can indicate up to 4 people and get some form of bedding for the entire party.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

The Trump is not in the Strip North or Strip South zone, it is in the Strip North Vicinity zone... is this an acceptable location as well?

Treasure Island is 4* rated by both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE, are you willing to bid up to $160 for a 4* hotel? Do you need more than double occupancy?

The Trump would be an acceptable location, and 160$ for a 4 star hotel would be fine given the fact that it is a pretty busy weekend in Vegas. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

What do you want to try for first... a 5* hotel in the Strip North, Strip North Vicinity, and Strip South zone up to your $160 limit OR is your goal the least expensive 4* or better in any of these zones?

Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

$160 for 4* hotel would be the common price, of course it depends where you spend it..
