Priceline Hotel: 4* Houston (Galleria) Hilton Houston Post Oak

Hello,

I need help bidding Houston Galleria 4*. I started at 52 and walked my way up to 101 and was rejected the entire time. May 21st-23rd Houston.

At current prices i think you'll likely need to be in the $120-$140 range to be successful for a 4* hotel in this zone.

What is your maximum bid for this trip? Are any other zones acceptable?

I'll also mention that HOTWIRE has a 3.5* property in this zone for $86/nite witih:

Fitness

Pool

Restaurant

Business

Laundry

Hi-Speed Internet

Blind Accessible

Deaf Accessible

Travel Accessible

Room Accessible

Bathroom Accessible

Handicapped Parking

Roll-in Shower

... and while this is a half star lower than the 4* you're seeking, this does have an impressive 4.5/5.0 TA rating, so something to at least consider at this price. My best guess for this one would be the Crowne Plaza Hotel-Houston River Oaks.

That doesn't look near the Galleria. Any other advice?

At this point, there is the 3.5* in the Galleria area on HOTWIRE, and a 4* for $158. I thought maybe there would be a different 3.5* when searching for more than 2 people, but it would appear to be the same options. If those options are not of interest, PRICELINE would be the option, but I do agree that you're likely looking at $120-140 area as rates unfortunately look on the high side. You do have a little time, so you could start at $100-105 and work higher by $5's.

Yeah, I seemed to be stuck on this one. I dont see why the prices are so high this week in May. I may sacrifice by going down to 3.5*. I will first try to bid again at 100-115 first.

Won at $110/night. Hilton Houston Post Oak. Slightly disappointed in the hotel, however not the price. Beggars can't be choosers. Shoulda went with the 3.5* on HOTWIRE. Very disappointed in myself.
